No foreign trip unless emergency: Finance minister
Finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday said the foreign trips of government officials will remain suspended unless there is an emergency in a bid to reduce pressure on the foreign exchange reserve.
Mustafa Kamal made the remark while answering the reporters online after a meeting of the cabinet committee on public procurement.
About the foreign trips of government officials, the finance minister said, "We have taken a decision in this regard. The prime minister has clearly said there are no foreign trips from now on. The officials will be allowed to go abroad in case of emergency, otherwise not. Foreign trips are being reduced and will be so."
