COVID-19: BANGLADESH RECORDS THE HIGHEST EVER 64 DEATHS IN A 24HR SPAN

Bangladesh has recorded the highest ever 64 new deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths to in the country to 1, 847.

A total of 3,682 more people also tested positive for Covid-19 between Monday and Tuesday, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 145,483.

Prof Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) announced the latest Covid-19 update during the daily online briefing from Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon,

She also said 1,844  people recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, 18,426 tests were conducted in 68 labs across the country of which 66 gave the results. Total number of tests conducted till date stands at 766,760.
